3.9.1. Using the WYSIWYG Editing Toolbar in Standard Mode
Various modules in your Bistro web content management system, including the Page Manager, allow you to edit the content of your website using a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) editor.
The editing screen you will use with your WYSIWYG editor typically looks like a large white box called the editing area, with a toolbar across the top of the editing area that offers a range of editing options.
This section of the manual provides information on using the Standard Mode of the editor. If you typically use only basic page editing features, you will most likely keep your page editor in standard mode. In most cases your Bistro installation will default to the standard editing mode.
Switching to Advanced Mode
The golden star at the far right of the top row of tool bar icons allows you to easily toggle between the standard and advanced modes of the editor.
When the editor is in standard mode, you can still format text, add images and tables, and use cut, copy and paste functions. Instructions for using each of the toolbar features is contained in this section of the online manual. To find the information you need, you can navigate through the section using the menu tree at the left of each page, or through the table of contents page.
